Razia Khatun, a graduate, belongs to Khelenpur village in Chanchal subdivision of Malda district. In her family, she has her father-in-law, who is paralysed and bedridden, her mother-in-law, who is handicapped, and a little daughter studying in class 5.
At that time, she approached a women’s association and shared her problems. The members advised her that if she could gain computer skills, they could help her find a good job. Through them, she came to know about Chanchal ISTC, where computer courses are offered at very minimal costs.
Razia got admitted to the computer course in Advance Diploma in Computer Applications (ADCA) at ISTC, Chanchal (initiative of HWF). Despite heavy family responsibilities, she attended classes regularly with dedication and interest, determined to change her situation.
Now, after completing the course, Razia Khatun has secured a job in a medical laboratory as a Data Entry Operator. With her earnings, she is successfully bearing the family expenses and managing the household.
Her struggle, courage, and determination have turned her life around. Razia now dreams of giving her daughter a better future and continuing to grow stronger as an independent woman.
